We now have some dates for 2012, the ones marked as provisional are 95% certain, subject to the usual shuffling of ‘more important’ car racing dates.

First you will notice that there is no date for Mettet in 2012, this is because the club has decided that they do not wish to organise a classic meeting for 2012 as they have lost too much money in the past, this is a sad blow to Historic racing, and may well signal the total loss of another road circuit, only time will tell.

The IHRO road show moved to the fabulous motodrome at Oschersleben in Germany on the first weekend of August for the Prinzenpark Revival meeting. In total contrast to the roads which had preceded it in this year’s series, this is a modern, purpose built circuit with excellent facilities and a really demanding, challenging but fun layout.

The format is the same as last year with scrutineering and signing on Friday. the entry fee is 210 Euros, please bring that in cash and pay me on the day

The IHRO Continental Circus decamped from Schleiz in Germany to Chimay in Belgium for the 3rd race of this year’s series. The weather this year was not as kind as in the past with showers all weekend causing disruption. This played into the hands of some of the ‘wet weather specialists’ as many riders were not sure about riding down the Armco lined hill in wet conditions. However there were some very good races, with scraps going on all down the field.
